This was definitely a fun read; good mystery, hot romance. Read the Amazon Book Description for a brief synopsis of the plot and main characters, it gives you the general gist.At this writing, Amazon has this book categorized in "Mystery, Thriller, Suspense" as well as "Romance" sections with the "Mystery..." category leading the trend. I have been waffling over my agreement with the order of the categorization. Is this a really good mystery/detective-type story with a really hot romance (with an alpha-male billionaire, of course) secondary or vice versa? I am going to follow Amazon's lead and classify it as a mystery first, romance second. No matter, it is a really good read for either genre. As with a sentiment noted by another reviewer about a different book; if this were a movie it would be thoroughly enjoyed by my hubby and other guys. Think a mash up of the Thomas Crowne Affair, Entrapment and True Lies.
CAT GOT YOUR TONGUE? is a whole, standalone book and a good one. However, author Rae Rivers placed enough threads in the story to build a series around Alexis Foxley's Body Armor protection service and agents. So, like Oliver Twist, I am asking Rae Rivers, "Please, sir (ma’am), I want some more.”
Okay, my little negative: I kept getting brain hiccups on what seemed to me misspellings/malapropisms. Later on it became apparent it had more to do with British spelling when I recognized the use of non-American slang (shag, really!). Further explained when I discovered author is South African. The characters could have certainly had a Brit/European background but story was set primarily in New York city with no back story to offset the Austin Powers-ish slang.

not a very believable , nor well told story. I cannot recommend.
I'm very disappointed with this book and with all the good reviews. I hate when the h is not professional about her job and this one here is the thesis of NO-professionals. She was supposed to be his bodyguard and her first night at his place she slept with him and not even bother to wake up before him WTF!!??!!? I didn't feel all the things the author was describing about the h, as a very professional, independent, strong woman when she sleeps whit the H everytime she has the opportunity and doesn't do her job and waits in bed until he brings her pastries and coffe and even has de audacity to enjoy them.
Im in the 57% of the book and I don't feel like finish it. It is THAT bad. And I ALWAYS finish a book I start.
Don't waste your money but specially your time
This was a really great book. There was tons of excitement and romance) the story line was one I hadn't read before so I really enjoyed that. Alex is a kick ass girl and I loved the fact she was loyal to a fault! If your looking for a quick fun read this is it-

This got my engine revved up, it was so good from start to the finish line. I know I'll enjoy rereading it again and picking up things I might have missed the first reading. The sparks that flew from the heroine to the hero added spice for our romance happening. The suspense was there all the time and made you into a quick page turner. Wow, it was a super read!

A strong woman that does dangerous work. Finds adventure and love with a strong man while solving several mysteries. A fun read with interesting characters.
Interesting. Worth reading, woman's spirit will be lifted, as the hero of story is strong, has heart, brains, and started a good company but also finds true love
While the action and suspense were good, I could have done with less graphic sex. But, I know that is personal opinion. Overall, a very fun read.
